back.
i’m back. it was a pretty uneventful con other than hanging out with friends which was cool, and all the good/bad/funny stuff are things i can’t talk about publicly because they involve people in the industry, hehheh. the coolest thing was that one day when i was at the Oni Press booth, Alia Shawkat from Arrested Development came by and got Wet Moon 5 and a print. she is way more freckly in person. more later.

ross, glad to hear that you made it back. will there be a con recap on the podcast? I’ve heard of arrested development but am not sure what it was all about. see any good cosplay?

did rs’s shadoweyes month get any crazy buzz going for the shadoweyes release?

whoa, we commented at exactly the same time. but, lol, from what I hear our promo is gangbusters.
maybe we should extend the month of shadoweyes into august when I’ll have some more free time to post all kinds of crazy shit

zach: haha, jerk.
mark: Arrested Development is a weird comedy show from a few years ago; i’m not a huge fan of it but all the actors in it are really good and Carl Weathers plays himself.
there didn’t seem to be as much cosplay this year, hmm. i saw a lot of the same sort of stuff, same characters, like a ton of Rogues (from X-Men), Batmans and related characters, Supermans, Naruto costumes, lots of Star Wars/Jedis/Stormtroopers, some Watchmen people, a bunch of people as Ramona from Scott Pilgrim, lots of girls in generic sort of bikinis and stuff as usual, i saw a Tifa who was kinda cool, lots of characters i didn’t recognize, some Avatar (the cartoon we watched, not James Cameron) people, i saw a San from Princess Mononoke that was pretty good.. i didn’t see many other anime (at least not ones i recognized) or Final Fantasy costumes, usually there are like 800 Clouds but i didn’t see any this year, all i saw was that one Tifa and a couple Final Fantasy 13 people. i got clobbered by a giant actually-feathered wing of a girl who was dressed as Hawkwoman/Hawkgirl or something. i guess the best one was a sweet, super authentic Necromonger from Chronicles of Riddick costume, hehheh.

no cloud cosplayers? I refuse to accept that.

mark – i think that all points to you needing to continue with the fanfic to resuscitate flagging interest in the ff7 world.

Nice to hear that Alia Shawkat is a Wet Moon fan!
